Fees
Last updated 23 September 2026
Looking at pools, charts and your portfolio on Waterline is free. When you swap, three kinds of fees apply, and all of them are shown before you sign.
Waterline fee: 0.3%, paid in ETH
Every swap on Robinhood Chain carries a Waterline fee of 0.3% of the trade's value. It's always charged in ETH on Robinhood Chain (never in the token you're trading) and sent to Waterline's fee address. Swaps on other chains (Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum) carry a 0.3% fee that's built into the quote, with no extra transaction.
- How it's worked out. When you pay with ETH, the fee is 0.3% of the ETH you pay. When you sell for ETH, it's 0.3% of the ETH you receive. For other tokens, it's 0.3% of the trade's dollar value converted to ETH at the current price.
- How it's paid. When you sell for ETH, the fee is taken inside the swap itself and arrives as ETH, so there's no extra step. For buys and other trades, the fee is a small ETH transfer to Waterline: wallets that support batched transactions do the fee and the swap in one confirmation, others show two (the fee first, then the swap).
- What you need. A small amount of ETH in your wallet to cover the fee and network fees, even when you pay with another token.
- If something goes wrong. If you cancel before the fee is sent, you pay nothing. The fee is a separate transaction, so if the fee is sent but the swap then fails or you cancel it, the fee isn't returned automatically. Contact us through our official channels if that happens.
The "You receive" amount in the quote is what the swap itself returns; the Waterline fee is shown on its own line (or inside the swap when you sell for ETH).
Bridge fee: 0.3%
When you move funds between Robinhood Chain and another chain, or bridge and buy a token in one step, a Waterline fee of 0.3% of the amount you send is built into the quote. There's no extra transaction or signature for it. The quote also shows the solver's bridge fee, the gas to deliver on the destination chain, and the network fee to send on the origin chain. These go to the solver and the networks, not to Waterline.
Pool fee
Each liquidity pool charges its own trading fee, which goes to that pool's liquidity providers, not to Waterline. Routes through several pools pay each pool's fee. These are already included in the quote.
Network fee
Robinhood Chain charges a small gas fee in ETH for every transaction, including token approvals and the fee payment. It goes to the network, not to Waterline, and is shown as an estimate before you sign.
